What are Patch Cards?
Patch Cards (old name modcard) are a customization option in Rockman EXE6 that grant a much larger range of abilities and powerups compared to what is available through the Navi Customizer. MegaMan is much more powerful with Patch Cards equipped, so they're only used in a dedicated pvp format in which both players agree to use modcards. This format is often called "Master class" as well as just "Patch cards format".
This feature is only available in the Japanese versions of Battle Network 6. We specify that we're talking about the Japanese version by calling it EXE6, while the English version is referred to as BN6. Keep that in mind! Originally, Patch Cards were equipped but using the e-Reader accessory and scanning in a physical card to equip its ability. We won't be needing to do that though.
Using Patch Cards in the game
Included in the Tango emulator is the idealEXE Patch for EXE6. This patch will translate the game to English as well as implement the Patch Cards loader feature!
To access the Patch Card Loader, interact with the computer in Lan's room. Enter the Patch Card's ID as it's provided in this guide, then select OK.
The new Patch Card will then show up in MegaMan's status screen. From there, you can remove cards that you no longer want equipped.
If a Patch Card is unable to be equipped due to being an invalid ID, a duplicate that's already equipped, or a card that would put you over the 80 MB limit, then the card will not be equipped.
